Hi there, I’m Kyle

As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, my work aims to treat the whole person rather than just their symptoms. My focus areas of practice include anxiety, depression, and relationship issues—particularly with adolescent boys and men. I’ll meet you where you are so we can collaborate on getting you where you want to be.

  • Navigating the complexities of adolescence, young adulthood, and adulthood can be daunting, but you don't have to face it alone. With a keen understanding of the unique challenges men encounter, I specialize in supporting individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, relational issues, addiction, and more. Using evidence-based techniques and a holistic perspective, I'm here to help you develop practical coping skills, boost self-awareness, and uncover the root causes of your struggles. Together, we'll forge pathways to growth, empowering you to overcome obstacles and thrive in all aspects of your life and being.

  • While I have many tools and love experimenting with new practices, my approach will always be relationally based. I can’t tell you what to do. But that’s okay, because you already know. The noise of this world is overwhelming, disconnecting us from hearing our inner wisdom. My job is to create the space and give permission. To help you turn down the noise and amplify your true voice. I approach this work with a deep appreciation for your willingness and commitment. While hard at times, if you work it, this work can lead you to a deep, meaningful, and fulfilling life.

  • I'm straightforward and clear, but balance this with a healthy dose of understanding and respect.

  • I grew up in a house with traditional family dynamics where the unspoken rules were just as important as those spoken. While my family had its strengths, many ways of being were passed on to me that were not helpful, such as “Emotions are weakness,” “Success is measured by others,” “real men don’t/do … .”

My own journey has been one of realizing these rules, expectations, and traditions are not fixed but are creations I can change. Learning to witness myself, let go of what no longer serves me, and make space for curiosity and growth has been the focus. Children are so good at this—they hold things lightly and with curiosity. But most of us forget this as we age. I am getting better at remembering this way of living, but I didn't do it on my own. I have found support through individual therapy, couples work, a men’s group, spiritual community, body work, and more. Different things, at different times as needed.

Healing isn't linear but a spiral inward and outward, down and up. My journey has been less about looking forward trying to find the path, and more about looking down at my feet and feeling the earth between my toes.

  • I love nature and feeling connected with the land, but my favorite thing is when nature is so expansive and loud that you can’t help but melt into it. Hence my love for the ocean. My family and I go to the beach whenever we can. Whether cold and windy or hot and calm, we love it all. As my kids climb rocks and look for crabs and sea anemones, I do my best to keep up and follow their lead. No matter how cold it is, we will always take off our shoes to feel the sand and get our feet wet. My favorite beach these days is Muir Beach, specifically at the point where the lagoon connects with the ocean.

  • Our first meeting is a chance for us to see if we click. Not every therapist is the right fit for every guy, and that's okay. If it’s the right fit, we’ll know. Then we’ll get to work.
